What makes Vinyasa Yoga School different?

The magnificent Ganga river and the banks of Rishikesh

Study yoga where it all began! Experience bliss in Rishikesh, a holy city nested between the sacred Ganga river and the magnificent Himalayan mountains.

Our students learning Salamba Sarvāngāsana, or Supported Shoulder stand

Unlike other courses with 50-100+ students, we split our classes into groups of 15 people and cap our courses at 45 students. You’ll have more opportunities for feedback, questions, and most importantly time to practice teaching.

Our world-class faculty includes Masters in Yoga. Our teachers have taught all across India, including training the Indian Army, and leading courses for the Indian government. Did we mention we’re also all fluent in English?

A volunteer distributing free food at a local school

Your tuition directly helps fund our volunteer projects. Vinyasa Yoga Foundation provides free food around local ashrams and temples in Rishikesh. We’re also working on a huge initiative to build a free school and community temple for free education and yoga classes.

What if you’re new to yoga?

That’s okay! We accept students of all levels.

Our two requirements: an open mind and an appetite for learning and growth. Our teachers are wonderful at balancing varying skill levels – we have had students who are relatively new to yoga taking the course alongside students with more than a decade of experience and several teacher training certifications.

That being said, you should try to condition your body before coming by practicing 3-4 times a week if possible. We do asana practice everyday and it definitely helps to train your body to get used to doing yogasana practice on a daily basis.
